Henderson Group, wins CIPD Learning & Development award for Dashboard Simulation

Newtownabbey-based Henderson Group has won the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development) Northern Ireland Organisational Learning and Development Award for 2015.

The company was praised for introducing an innovative business simulation game called “Spar Wars”, designed by Ken Thompson from Dashboard Simulations, to provide engaging learning opportunities.

 

Ken Thompson and Justine McGreevy from Henderson Group collect the award.

Spar Wars allows staff working in teams of 4 to manage the dynamic and varied environment of a busy Spar Store over a 4 month trading period – all in the space of half a day! As well as being collaborative Spar Wars is also highly competitive with up to 12 teams competing against their colleagues with each teams results shown on a leaderboard at the end of each round.
